Communication Modules

The Do-more CPUs support a full complement of the communication modules for providing client and server connections to Ethernet and / or serial devices. Communication modules are assigned a default Device name that can be changed through the Module Configuration page in the System Configuration utility.

Communication modules do not consume I/O memory, they are considered Devices, and the CPU automatically creates default structures for all Devices. The Devices associated with a Communication module are configured through the Device Configuration page in the System Configuration utility. It is through the Module Configuration and these Devices with their structures that the CPU provides access and control of these communication modules.
