EtherNet/IP Scanner Monitor

After the EtherNet/IP Scanner is configured and running, the EtherNet/IP Scanner Monitor can be used to display the "health" of the currently configured network of EtherNet/IP Adapters. This utility can be opened through by selecting the Debug -> EtherNet/IP Scanner Monitor menu selection.

The monitor can show the status of 8 of the possible 32 Adapters on each of 4 pages. When the monitor is first opened, the first 8 configured Adapters (1 thru 8) will automatically be selected. If there are more than 8 Adapters configured, the remaining Adapters will be automatically selected on one the next three pages. The 4 buttons in the lower left corner of the dialog will select the current page of Adapters (1 - 8), (9 - 16), (17-24), and (25 - 32) respectively.

Adapter selects from the list of configured Adapters.

.AdapterName displays the name of the selected Adapter.

Structure displays the name of the selected Adapter's associated structure whose fields are used for status and runtime control:

.EnableScannershow the current state (ON / OFF) of the Adapter's connection to the Scanner. Double-clicking the field will toggle that Bit to the opposite state.

.TCPConnected shows the current state (ON / OFF) of the TCP/IP connection. Double-clicking the field will toggle that Bit to the opposite state.

.Error is the last error received from comm operations performed by the Scanner. Double-clicking on that field will clear the error.

.MSGStatus is the last error received from comm operations performed by the Scanner. Double-clicking on that field will clear the error.

.MSGError is the last error received from comm operations performed by the Scanner. Double-clicking on that field will clear the error.

.GenStatusCode, .ExtStatusCode, .ExtStatusInfo1, and .ExtStatusInfo2 values are displayed as a group in the final column. When an error occurs, the values in the column will show these code value in HEX; hovering the cursor over that field will generate a popup with an explanation of the status codes.

.XferCount and .ErrorCount show the current values for those numeric fields. Double-clicking on either field will reset the field's value to 0.

Clicking the Clear All Status Fields button will reset the .XferCount and .ErrorCount fields to 0, and clear the .MSGError field for all of the Adapters on the current page (it does NOT clear these values for Adapters on other pages).

If any of the Adapter connections is displaying an error (non-zero value in the far right column), hovering the mouse cursor over the error code will display some text that is relevant to the error code in the status bar at the bottom of the dialog will display.
