Project Auto-Save

Auto-Save is a Do-more Designer process that will automatically create backup copies of projects while they are being edited. Each time a 'Save Project to Disk' operation is performed, a copy of the saved project will be stored in the designated AutoSave folder.

The default location of these auto-saved copies is the AutoSave folder in Do-more Designer's Backup folder. A folder for each Project will be created within the AutoSave folder, and each AutoSave operation will create its own sub-folder using the current date and time as the folder name. A copy of the current project file will then be stored in the newly created folder.

For example, if working on a project named MySample, the programmer saves the project to disk at 4:17:58 on September 14, 2011, the auto-Save process will create a sub-folder named C:\Do-more Designer\Projects\Backup\AutoSave\MySample\$11-09-14$16-17-58. A copy of the project file, MySample.Dbk, will be copied into that folder.

Do-more Designer is configured by default to keep the 4 most recently created auto-saved copies for each project. The number of auto-saved copies to keep can be increased or decreased through the Auto-Save configuration section of the Folder Settings dialog.
