Topic: DMD0216 Import Project |
|
Import Program creates a new Do-more Designer project from a text version of a project, including rung comments and element documentation.
Note: the preferred method for moving code-blocks and/or programming elements between Do-more Designer projects is to use Cut/Copy/Paste rather than Import/Export. The Cut/Copy/Paste operations have the intelligence required to properly handle incompatibilities in the System Configurations of the source and destination projects.
The Import Project dialog is invoked with the File-> Import-> Project menu selection.
The top portion of the dialog is a standard set of Windows File Open prompts allowing the programmer to browse to a folder and select the import file.
The bottom portion of the dialog specifies the target Do-more Designer project.
New Project: - enter the name of the new project to create from the contents of the import file.
Browse... - click to create the new project, or to select an existing project that will be replaced with the contents of the import file.
Click Open the start the import process. If a project is open in Do-more Designer when Import Project is invoked the currently open project will be closed and a new project will be created from the imported program and documentation.
Click Cancel to abort the Import process.
